  • T A Fisher Completes Newbury Hotel & Retail Scheme

T A Fisher has completed the final letting in a development which has turned a former petrol station in Newbury into a new hotel, fast food outlet and bathroom specialist.

Bathroom supplier Ripples has taken the remaining 1, 292 sq ft unit, joining the fast expanding Hotcha chain of Chinese food.
Quintons, Newbury were the letting agents.
The units are on the ground floor of the 67-bedroom Travelodge at 49 London Road.

The Hotcha unit is the Bristol-based provider’s first in Berkshire. Most of its 14 branches are around Somerset and Wiltshire. Ripples which expects to open by September, is moving from the Kennet Centre which is undergoing major regeneration.

The Travelodge budget hotel captures the business and leisure markets which are very buoyant with so much activity in and around the town centre.

Furthermore the retail units have gone to two very good brands. Hotcha is a business on a growth trail and Ripples has been in Newbury for more than 10 years.

With the regeneration of the Kennet Centre, this development is both a positive one for the town and a successful investment for T A fisher.
